If you answered yes to any or all of these matters, please take the time to visit the Camdenton Library, where Kirk Stites will be available to speak on Medicare, its ever-changing laws, deductibles, and the many parts that make up Medicare.
If you aren't familiar with Medicare, it is the federal health insurance for people who are 65 and older, certain younger people with disabilities, and those who have End-Stage Renal Disease (ERSD), which is kidney failure requiring dialysis or a transplant.
Part A is hospital insurance and covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility, hospice, and some home health care.
Part B is medical insurance and covers certain doctor services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventative services.
Part C is the Medicare Advantage Plan is offered through private insurance companies that have contracts with Medicare and provides all of Part A and B benefits, and most of the Medicare Advantage Plans offer prescription drug coverage.
Part D is prescription drug coverage, and these plans are offered by insurance companies and other private companies approved by Medicare.
As you can see Medicare can be confusing and frustrating but let Kirk Stites help you make sense of the confusion through four (4) question and answer sessions. Kirk will be at the Camdenton Library on the following dates from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.:
- Thursday, June 8th
- Thursday, July 6th
- Thursday, August 3rd
Be sure to bring pen and paper with you, too
