Meeting Room

The Camden County Library District allows use of the meeting room as a service to nonprofit, civic and community groups under policies established by the Board of Trustees. Library sponsored programs and activities will be given priority over all others. Use of the meeting room shall not in any way interrupt normal library operations. Maximum capacity in the room is 60 people.

 
RESERVATIONS:
  • Will be made on a first come first served basis, between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M. Monday through Friday. Reservation form required for every use of room.
  • Will be made no more than 3 months or less than 3 days in advance of the date. No long term or standing reservations will be made.
  • Request to use library’s equipment (other than tables and chairs) must be made when reservation is made.
  • Damage due to negligence or unauthorized use of equipment will be the responsibility of person making reservation.
  • Person making reservations must be 18 years old or over.
RULES FOR USE:
  • The meeting room is available for use between 8:00 A.M. and 10:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday
  • The meeting room is not available on Sundays or holidays.
  • There will be no admission fee for any program or activity.
  • No smoking is allowed anyplace in the library, including meeting room
  • Light non-alcoholic refreshments may be served but must be catered in or brought in by the group, as well as all supplies and serving pieces.
  • A small kitchenette is available Users are responsible for room arrangement and clean up afterwards.
  • No materials or equipment belonging to any group will be stored at the library, and the library will assume no responsibility for anything left on the premises.
  • Nothing will be attached to the walls.Use easels only. 
  • Granting permission to use the room does not constitute endorsement of the group or their beliefs/philosophies/practices by the library staff and/or Board of Trustees.
  • Advance publicity must not imply endorsement by the library.
  • Children’s groups age 12 and under must be supervised by adults in the ratio of at least one adult for each eight children attending. At least one adult must be present for any group in which participants are under 18.
AFTER HOURS USE:
  • Responsible person (who made reservation) from sponsoring organization must pick up keys on day of meeting/activity.
  • Must arrive to open vestibule and meeting room for attendees.
  • Must remain to see that room is in order at close of meeting.
  • Must see that lights are off, doors locked, etc.
  • Must drop keys (in container provided) in book drop immediately following meeting.
