The Camden County Library District has received notice that our courier service that picks up and delivers materials from outside of our county and state would be switching companies from 1st Choice to Henry Industries, Inc out of Kansas City, MO.
During this period of transition, we will experience a two-week time period in which service will be disrupted beginning Friday, March 15-Monday, April 1, 2019.
What does this mean for our patrons?
This means that our patrons may experience a significant delay (up to two weeks, possibly more) in the materials that they request outside of our immediate Camden County Libraries; Camdenton, Climax Springs, Macks Creek, Osage Beach, Stoutland, and Sunrise Beach.
As this transition comes on the heels of our migration to Missouri Evergreen we want our patrons to know that the change in couriers is a coincidence and has nothing to do with our move to our new system.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause our patrons.
To place items on hold from libraries outside of Camden County Library District and Suspend the Holds for a Later Date
Patrons are asked to suspend any holds that they place on materials outside of our Camden County Library District Libraries.
To suspend a hold on a book there are two ways to do this:
When placing a hold through the card catalog (ccld.missourievergreen.org) you will need to complete two steps, after logging in and before you can submit the request:
Under the "Suspend this hold?", you will need to check the box to say "Yes"
Once you have selected "Yes" to suspend the hold, you will need to click on "Set Activiation Date", you will then get a text box that will allow you to enter a date, please set your hold activiation for Monday, April 1, 2019 (04/01/2019) or later.
Once that date comes up holds will automatically activate and placed in the queue for pulling and placing into transit from the lending library.
Version 2 will require patrons to log into their account at ccld.missourievergreen.org and navigating to the "Holds" tab once they are logged in. If the item says requested patrons are then able to place a check mark in the box to the left of the book title and then click on the drop down box just above the titles you have on hold, choose "Suspend" and then click on "Go." At this time the hold will be suspended until you go into your account to activate the hold.
